Dr. Wilson's Biography
           
 

Paulette A. Wilson was born in St. Thomas, Jamaica, where at the age of 12 she accepted Jesus Christ as Savior She is the fourth of nine children. Through the years she has served the Lord  in many capacities, working as Evangelist, Sunday School teacher, Youth President, Missionary, Choir member, Outreach Director, Bible teacher, and seminar and conference  speaker.

Dr. Wilson was educated as a high school teacher at the Shortwood Teachers’ College (Jamaica) and the University of the West Indies. In 1986 she migrated to the United States where she obtained graduate degrees (MA, Ph.D.) at Rutgers University and soon thereafter became an assistant professor at Clemson University in South Carolina. Throughout her career Dr. Wilson has worked as an educator at the high school, community college, four-year college and university levels.

In response to a specific call to ministry to the hurting, Dr. Wilson moved back to New Jersey in 1998. Presently she resides in Mount Laurel, NJ, and she continues to teach both as an educator in the school system and in Christian ministry, while  serving as President and Pastor of Berachah Restoration Ministries, Inc. which she founded in May of 1998.  As President of B R M Inc., Dr. Wilson writes and produces a series of resources for women’s ministries, and inspirational literature to women. She also maintains this website ministry (www.cecmin.org) which offers resources to the hurting, and an international prayer circle .

Dr. Wilson is the speaker on the Breakfast in the Word radio broadcast on WIMG 1300AM and WIMG 1300.com every Saturday morning at 9.05 am.  She presents over thirty PowerPoint supported seminars and conferences on issues related to women, and writes and publishes a prayer journal for women: The Trysting Place, a monthly newsletter by the same name,  Spiritual Warfare Weekly and seminar guides for women’s ministries. She is also the facilitator of the monthly breakfast conference: Breakfast in the Word, and the annual Spiritual Warfare Conference.

Dr. Wilson’s  books, In The Valley with a Promise: Hope for Hurting Women, and The Trysting Place, minister hope and healing to women who have been wounded by  abuse, loss, divorce, bereavement,  rejection and other types of adversity. She is also the author of Fruit of the Almond Tree, a full length fictional work based on events drawn from real life experiences and   Woman, Where are You? Heeding the Call to Christian Ministry Her latest book: The Javelin of Saul: Serving in the Shadow of An Adversary is now available on amazon.com and from Berachah Ministries.

Her aspirations for the future:

  1. To see the establishment of the Berachah Vision Center, which will serve the needs of women of all ages, races, ethnicities and religious backgrounds.
  2. To continue to offer restoration workshops to the hurting across North America and the world.
  3. To help women who have been broken by adversity to find their way back to wholeness  by providing, or helping them to find the emotional, spiritual and economic resources that they need.
  4. To develop the B R M school as an oasis of hope, healing and education for hurting women and their children.
